Always fascinated by the delicacy and beauty of medieval illuminations, the illumination artist Flavie Leh reproduces illuminations taken from ancient manuscripts and also creates more contemporary miniatures.

She uses parchment, the traditional medium for illumination, and vegetable parchment, which is more recent. For the color,   historical and modern pigments bound with medieval tempera as well as gum arabic gouache and to enhance everything, she delicately applies gold leaf between 22 and 24 carats.
